In my case on a client with two ESX 4.0 update 2, had Vmachines of windows 2008 x64 and Windows 2008 R2 x64, as well the 2008 without R2, opened the console and no problems but with the mouse R2 is slow, slow. The Vmtools had them installed, until the reading on the internet, I found the solution.
