Edubuntu is a Linux distribution and is a recent branch of Ubuntu Linux designed for use in school environments.
The first version (5.10), was launched on October 13, 2005, in parallel with Ubuntu 5.10 and Kubuntu 5.10.
His list of packages is more oriented to that end, incorporating the terminal server, and educational applications as GCompris and the KDE
